Terms of Service

1. General

These terms of service ("terms") define the conditions for using the Sulle messaging application ("service"). The service is provided by Puida Oy (Business ID: 2918901-1), a Finnish limited liability company ("we", "Puida").

By starting to use the service, you accept these terms. If you do not accept the terms, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Sulle is a Finnish messaging application that offers end-to-end encrypted communication. The service includes:

• Encrypted private messages and group chats
• Encrypted audio and video calls
• Sharing of media files (images, videos, files)
• Finding contacts using a privacy-preserving method

3. Registration and Account

Using the service requires registration with a phone number. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.

You are responsible for the security of your account and all activities that occur under your account. Do not give third parties access to your account.

4. Pricing and Payment

Sulle is a one-time payment application. The fee is charged once in connection with purchasing the app via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

The one-time payment includes the use of the service indefinitely. We do not charge monthly or annual fees. The payment is non-refundable, except in accordance with the app stores' own refund policies.

We reserve the right to change the pricing for new buyers. Changes will not affect the usage rights of users who have already purchased the service.

5. User Responsibilities

You commit to the following:

• You use the service in accordance with Finnish law and these terms.
• You do not use the service for illegal activities, such as threatening, harassing, or distributing illegal content.
• You do not attempt to harm, disrupt, or overload the service's technical infrastructure.
• You do not attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or copy the application's source code.
• You do not use automated tools or bots to use the service.
• You do not impersonate another person or provide misleading information about yourself.

6. Content and End-to-End Encryption

All messages and calls are end-to-end encrypted with a secure messaging protocol. Puida Oy cannot read your messages, listen to your calls, or see the media files you share.

You are solely responsible for the content you send. End-to-end encryption protects your privacy, but it does not release you from liability regarding the legality of the content you send.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

The Sulle application, its source code, design, trademarks, and other materials are the property of Puida Oy or licensed material. Purchasing the application grants you a personal, non-exclusive right to use the application.

The content you send remains your property. We claim no rights to your content.

8. Service Availability

We strive to provide the service without interruption, but we do not guarantee its continuous or error-free operation. The service may experience maintenance breaks, technical issues, or interruptions caused by force majeure.

We reserve the right to change, suspend, or terminate the service or parts of it by notifying you reasonably in advance.

9. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is". Puida Oy is not liable for:

• Indirect damages, such as lost income or data.
• Actions or omissions of third parties.
• Damages resulting from your use of the service in violation of Finnish law.
• Compatibility issues with the user's device or software.

Puida Oy's total liability is limited to the purchase price you paid for the application. This limitation does not apply to your rights arising from mandatory legislation.

10. Termination of Account

You can delete your account at any time in the app settings. Upon account deletion, all your server-side data is permanently deleted.

We reserve the right to close your account or restrict your use of the service if you violate these terms or use the service illegally. We will notify you of this in advance whenever possible.

11. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes will primarily be attempted to be resolved through negotiation.

If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, the matter will be settled in the Helsinki District Court. Consumers also have the right to submit the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi) for processing.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in the application at least 30 days before they take effect. By continuing to use the service after the changes, you accept the updated terms.
